Indio shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

An early morning shooting in Indio left one man dead and two more injured.

Police were called to Mountain View Avenue at 12:45 am Sunday morning where they found a 22-year-old man who had been shot, reports The Desert Sun. The man was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Two men came then came to the same hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. One, who was not named, suffered serious injuries. The other, 28-year-old Angel Lopez, had minor injuries.

Police believe both men were also involved in the Mountain View shooting and Lopez was arrested for probation violation and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, according to KESQ.

Police are continuing their investigation.
