The Indio Police Department is searching for a man they say robbed a Circle K with a machete early Tuesday morning.
A man wearing a skeleton mask entered the store about 3:03 am, according to police (via KESQ). Armed with a machete, the man approached a store employee, who escaped through an emergency exit.
The robber then tried to get money from a safe dispenser and might have run off with some cigarettes.
Police describe the suspect as a man, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was carrying a black bag in addition to the machete.
