Indio: police arrest 2 men in connection with attempted murder

Indio police arrested two men Thursday morning in connection with an attempted murder that happened in October.

John Tribble, 22, and Jamonte Tribble, 20, were arrested at a Dr. Carreon Park park shortly after a search warrant was served by police on a home on Garden Avenue at 5 a.m., reports KESQ.

Police served the warrant in conjunction with a shooting on October 21st of an Indio man in the area of Garden Avenue and Daisy Street, according to the Desert Sun. The man was shot twice in his upper body. He was taken to a hospital and released.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.  Police say Jamonte Tribble had a loaded Glock 9mm handgun on him when police found him, so was also arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon.

Police did not say how the two men were related.
