Construction crews will be working on the new on and off ramps for the 10 Freeway at Jefferson Street next week. This means lane closures on the 10 Freeway and a possible detour for you.
From Monday, March 7 through Friday March 11, crews will be closing some or even all lanes on the 10 eastbound from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to pave the new on and off ramps at Jefferson Street, reports The Desert Sun – who offers up these detour routes:, if needed
If all lanes are closed:
1. Take the eastbound I-10 off ramp at Jefferson Street.
2. Make a left onto the existing Jefferson Street.
3. Take a right on Varner Road.
4. Take a right onto Monroe Street.
5. Go left on the eastbound I-10 ramp at Monroe Street.
If the eastbound I-10 on ramp at Jefferson Street is closed:
1. Go east on Varner Road.
2. Turn right at Monroe Street.
3. Turn left at the eastbound I-10 on ramp.
If the eastbound I-10 off ramp at Jefferson Street is closed:
1. Go east on I-10 and take the Monroe Street exit.
2. Turn left on Monroe Street.
3. Turn left at Avenue 42/ Varner Road back to Jefferson Street.
