Two hikers were rescued on Friday after they found themselves stranded due to avalanches in the San Jacinto Mountains.

The hikers were attempting to hike the Snow Creek Canyon, according to a post from the Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit and Sheriffs Aviation Unit (STAR-9). The recent snowfall, followed by the heat-wave loosened snow from the mountain range and, well, check this crazy avalanche out:

The hikers found themselves stuck. Luckily, they still had cell service, so they were able to call for help. The Star-9 helicopter was able to fly in a rescue team and help the hikers into the aircraft.

No one was injured.
