Hiker rescued near Bob Hope’s old house in Palm Springs

A man in his 70s was rescued on a hiking trail Tuesday near the Bob Hope’s old place.

Palm Springs Police was called to the scene about 1:30 pm, according to KESQ. The hiker was eventually brought down the trail and taken to the hospital. The condition of the man is unknown.

The hiker was most likely on the Araby Trail, which has goes right by the house, then above it to give those hiking the trail a pretty good view of the estate, which sold for $13 million in 2016.

The Araby Trail is a 4.1 mile out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of just over 1,400 feet, according to All Trails – where the trail has an average review of 4 out of 5 stars with over 100 reviews.
