President’s Day Weekend has seen a series of storms move through Southern California bringing rain and swallowing up vehicles. Here’s how much precipitation we have seen in the Coachella Valley in the last 48 hours according to the National Weather Service:

  • Whitewater: 0.63 inches
  • Palm Desert: 0.59
  • Indio Hills: 0.51
  • Palm Springs: 0.48
  • Indio: 0.31
  • Cathedral City: 0.31
  • Thousand Palms 0.23

There is also some new snow in the mountains – with Big Bear reporting 6 inches of the white stuff and Idyllwild reporting a dusting of 0.7 inches of snow.

The storms are now on their way out of Southern California – with Sunday expected to start off partly cloudy, later giving way to clear skies.
