A Hemet man was arrested Thursday and all because of his recent purchase of Thin Mints.

Police attempted to pull over a guy on a motorcycle at about 4 p.m. on East Florida Avenue. The man did not pull over and attempted to flee on his bike leading to a short pursuit, reports ABC 7.

During the chase, the man threw something into the bushes and pulled into a mobile home park. Police found the motorcycle, but the suspect was not with it.

Investigators found a box of Girl Scout cookies in the bushes with a note and phone number to call if the buyer wanted to purchase more. Police called the number and confirmed that the man had just bought Girl Scout cookies. Cops then picked up the Girl Scout sales representative and brought them to the trailer park so they could identify the suspect.

31-year-old Joseph Kopff was arrested for felony reckless evading and was later taken to the Riverside County Jail.
