Where is the best happy hour in Greater Palm Springs?

There are very few things better in life than a really good happy hour. It is a chance to enjoy some good drinks, eat some tasty food, hang with friends and, most importantly, you can do it all without having to fork over your entire paycheck. But, finding a good happy hour in The Coachella Valley can be a challenge.

First and foremost, there is the matter of the old people. While you are working your last few hours, they are taking all of the seats at the bar at 3 p.m. – so, by the time you get there, you no longer have a place to chill.  And how lucky are the bartenders to have them taking up two seats to sip on water with lemon and splitting an appetizer at the bar for 3 hours!

There are also other challenges.  The Desert is also home to plenty of expensive tourist traps – which are fine for tourists, I guess, but we locals would rather not pay like we are on vacation.  Of course, there are dive bars which are always a good spot for cheap drinks – but this is about regular bars with a happy hour.  And I mean a real happy hour.  Not one of those ridiculous “all day happy hours” things.

So this begs the question: where are the best happy hours in The Coachella Valley?  Leave a comment below or on Facebook about where the best spots are to find some cheap drinks and food…preferably, something tasty too rather than just a bag of chips or cold cuts.

Cheers.
