Four people are appearing in court this week after police say they attacked and injured two people at the Desert Springs Marriott in Palm Desert.

On June 27, an employee of the resort approached the suspects as there were complaints about them from hotel guests, reports the Desert Sun. Diante Portillo, 26, and Denei Davis, 24, are accused of taking turns holding down the female employee while the other punched and kicked her head.

Gregory Pate Jr., 24, is accused of encouraging the women to fight the employee who suffered major swelling to her head.

Another man was also attacked, according to court records. Dalon Decoud Jr., is accused of threatening and attacking a man who suffered a broken orbital bone. It is not known if the victim was an employee or guest.

Decoud was charged with assault and battery and making threats. He pleaded not guilty Tuesday. Portillo and Davis were expected to be arraigned Wednesday on assault charges. Pate was charged with assault and inciting a riot and is awaiting an arraignment date.
