Palm Desert gets a couple of new fast-casual joints next week and they are both offering you a chance at some free grub.
Blaze Pizza and The Habit Burger and Grill are set to open at the El Paseo Square at San Pablo and Highway 111 – with Habit opening on Monday and Blaze on Tuesday, according to the Desert Sun.
Habit will give the first 200 guests in line at 11:30 a.m. on Monday free grub. That will be followed by a fundraiser for Palm Desert High School from 5 to 7 p.m. Sure, that means you will pay for your grub, but it will go to the high school – and I for one believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.

Blaze’s “Free Pizza Day” will net you a free pizza on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. – provided you follow Blaze Pizza on social media. Not sure how they will know, but just go ahead and follow them anyway, I guess.
