Two former Indio police officers, who were accused of beating a man and then falsifying a report to cover it up, were found not guilty on Monday.

Charles Holloway and Gerardo Martinez were acquitted Monday morning, reports the Desert Sun.

The jury was given the case on Friday in a Banning courtroom and they returned the verdict Monday morning, according to KESQ.

The September, 2014 beating was captured on video by a nearby Mexican restaurant – a video which has not been released to the public.

Holloway was accused of kicking, punching and stomping upon Ruben Martinez, a self-identified member of the 50 Boyz gang.   Gerardo Martinez was accused of leaving the incident out of his police report.  Both men are no longer with the Indio Police Department.

The City of Indio settled a lawsuit with Ruben Martinez in April for $140,000.
