Police arrested a Fontana man for stabbing the boyfriend of a woman he was enamored with.
The victim is in critical condition after the attack, which took place about 10:30 pm Wednesday night, according to the Daily Bulletin. When police arrived, the suspect was gone.
Ontario Police have arrested 32-year-old, Faustino Cardenas, of Fontana, who was wanted for a stabbing that occurred in the 2700 Block of South Cypress Point Pl. last night. Investigators determined that the suspect was infatuated with the woman and attacked her boyfriend. They were able to track down the suspect, identified as Joseph Cardenas, near the Tyler Mall in Riverside.
Cardenas, 32, is being held in West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga without bail.
