Eureka Indian Wells is hosting a Russian River Week, including Pliny the Younger

One of the most sought-after beers in the country is coming to Eureka! Indian Wells next week as part of a Russian River craft beer week.

The bar / restaurant will tap a different Russian River brew each day starting Monday, February 24 through Friday, February 28.

Kicking off the week, Eureka! will be tapping Russian River’s infamous and well-balanced 7% Double India Pale Ale Pliny The Elder, as well as the hop forward 5.3% Pilsner, STS Pilsner. Eureka! recommends ayone stopping on for Pliny The Elder to pair it with their Bison Burger which is topped with bacon-infused jalapeño jam, charbroiled tri-color peppers, grilled red onion, and smoked mozzarella. If you are more of a Pilsner fan, the eatery claims the STS Pilsner pairs really well with the Blackened Fish Tacos featuring sautéed white fish, avocado tomatillo, radish, cabbage, and mango salsa.

Tuesday, February 25th is the big day. Starting at 3pm, Eureka! has pulled out all the stops and is tapping the special release of Pliny the Younger. As this is a pretty big deal, Eureka! has deemed it as a special occasion complete with ticketing. Those grabbing a $13 ticket will secure their 9oz. pour of the highly coveted Pliny the Younger while also giving back to the Coachella Valley, as Eureka! will be donating $5 from each ticket purchase to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.

For those grabbing the Pliny the Younger, Eureka! says it pairs nice with the Bone Marrow Burger topped with shiitake bone marrow butter, charbroiled onion, mustard aioli, and roasted Roma tomato. Aside from the ticketed tapping, guests will also be able to enjoy the refreshing Happy Hops, an incredibly hoppy Indian Pale Ale with an immense hop aroma and flavor with a mild bitterness.

On Wednesday, February 26 starting at 6pm when guests order Russian River’s full-bodied 6.25% India Pale Ale, Blind Pig or the 5.8% Pale Ale, Row 2, Hill 56, they will also get to take home special glassware as part of a Steal the Glass night. Glassware is limited.

Thursday, February 27 the restaurant will tap the 7% Sour Brown Ale, Supplication, which is aged for 12 months in Pinot Noir barrels. The eatery says that this beer goes perfectly with those craving a lighter menu item like the Strawberry Salad with grilled chicken, arugula, kale, cucumbers, roasted beets, dried cranberries, walnuts, feta, pickled red onions, balsamic glaze, mint, and lemon vinaigrette. Guests will also be able to enjoy the 4.8%, 100% Brett Fermented, Sanctification. This unique beer recipe starts with the base of a Golden Ale but is then primarily fermented with 100% brettanomyces and pairs well with the Veggie Beet Burger, housemade red beet and kidney bean patty, house pickles, tomato, red onion, arugula, and lemon vinaigrette.

Finishing off the week of Eureka! and Russian River on Friday, February 28 is the 9% Strong Dark Ale, Salvation. Due to the fruity and spicy notes, it’s said to pair well with Eureka!’s Bourbon Barrel Cake topped with pecans, bourbon caramel, and vanilla bean ice cream.
