Elderly California couple told police 60 pounds of pot was for Christmas presents

A couple who was arrested in Nebraska after police found 60 pounds of marijuana in their Toyota Tacoma told police that the drugs were Christmas presents. And to think, my Grandma used to only give me five bucks.

80-year-old Patrick Jiron and 83-year-old Barbara Jiron of Clearlake Oaks in Nor Cal were pulled over in Nebraska after the car failed to signal and drove over the center line of the road. They said they were driving from California to Vermont, according to KMBC.

An official told the New York Times that the street value of the drugs was $336,000. The couple now faces felony drug charges.
