Today is the busiest day of the year at the post office.
The U.S. Postal Service estimates that they will process at least 640 million cards, letters, and packages over the course of the day…yes, just the one day. So the lines, which are normally pretty damn long anyway, might just keep you there for the rest of the day.
So, just skip it and go ahead and mail your stuff tomorrow or, better yet, just don’t mail anything at all. Simply tell your friends and family that their stuff must have gotten lost or stolen in the mail.
After all, it is the thought that counts, right?
