Desert Hot Springs: those two adorable Christmas puppies are back home

DHS Stolen Dogs

The two Boxer puppies that were stolen out of a Desert Hot Springs family’s backyard have been recovered.

Boxer puppies Bruno and Bella were taken Monday from a home on Acoma Avenue along with other items including electronics. The dogs had been given to the family’s daughters as a Christmas present.

The dogs were found after someone, who had seen a Facebook posting about the puppies, approached a male and female carrying the dogs, Desert Hot Springs Police Chief Dale Mondary told the Desert Sun.

The man and woman were confronted, dropped the dogs, then ran away, say police.

The dogs were returned to their owners and police are still investigating the burglary. If you have any info, call (760) 329-2904.
