Date Festival: how to get a discount on tickets

The 70th Annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival runs February 12th through the 21st at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio. If you are looking to save some coin this year, here are the promotions going on.

  • Opening Friday, February 12th Free admission from 10 am – Noon.
  • Canada Day – Tuesday, February 16th – Canadian residents will be admitted into
    the Fair for FREE with proof of residency (valid passport, license or identification
    card). (Note: this is so not cool)
  • Kids’ Days – Tuesday through Thursday 3pm to close – One child free per paid
    adult.
  • Waste Resources Wednesday – Feb 17th – Free admission when you bring in
    electronic waste items.
  • O’Reilly Day – Thursday, February 18th – Visit your local O’Reilly Auto Parts store
    for more information.
  • Fantasy $5 Friday – Friday, February 19th – All day admission $5, sponsored by
    Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
  • JFK Day – Saturday, February 20th – “Keeping You Healthy & Moving” – First 500
    Fairgoers will receive a pedometer (limit one per family).
  • Veterans plus three guests are admitted free every day with proper
    identification.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. every night of the fair. Regularly priced tickets will set you back $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for kids, and $22 for Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands.

Entertainment at this year’s festival will include Ezequiel Peña, Trace Adkins, Morris Day and the Time, Sheila E, and KC & the Sunshine Band. Entertainment is free, with purchase of regular fair admission.
