Craigslist ‘Missed Connections’ post shows why the 10 freeway is so damn dangerous

Palm Springs Freeway

Ever wonder why so many people drive like assholes on the 10? Turns out, they are just trying to hook up with the people in the other cars around them.

A post in the Palm Springs’ missed connections section of Craigslist, called “Oh Edison Man..” explains (emphasis provided by me):

This is probably the last place you’ll look but I have to throw this out into the universe…

We played cat and mouse on the freeway for what seemed like miles, shared smiles and flirted while you asked for my number. I was so intrigued by you, I missed my exit for the 210…I didn’t mind though. Next thing I knew, you exited the freeway and were gone!

If by chance you happen to see this, which is a long shot but worth it…tell me what I looked like and we can go from there. Just know you have an admirer from afar, sadly very far away as I was on my way home from a weekend vacation down south!

To recap: a woman, who is not from around here (and not familiar with the freeways of the area), drove a lengthy stretch of the 10 freeway distracting the driver of a giant Edison truck (with what sounds like a dangerous “cat and mouse” game) to the point where she missed her exit and probably ended up lost and distracting more people in downtown San Bernardino while she tried to find her way back.

Now, she has taken to Craigslist to find this guy – meaning that she either gave him a fake number (or no number) or he has her number and chose not to call a maniac driver who may have been stalking him on the freeway.

Maybe next time, you guys can just pull over and talk so the rest of us can just get to where we need to be safely on the freeway?  Cabazon will work – it even has an In-N-Out and a Five Guys now…plus there is always that huge hotel, you know, if things go really well.
