Cooler temps and maybe even some rain are headed to the Coachella Valley

As we wind down (and clean up the sweat stains left by) the hottest summer in the history of the Coachella Valley, Mother Nature has decided to bless us with a bit of a cool down and maybe even a little rain this weekend.

Temps will start to lower on Friday (100 degrees) and won’t even reach the century mark on Saturday (95), according to the forecast – which is also calling for a 40% chance of thunderstorms on Friday and a 50% chance on Saturday.

A little rain would be nice in the desert, so keep your fingers crossed.  Just don’t look for it to stick around long, as the moisture will move out and we should be back up to 106 by Monday.
