2015 brought us 365 days of news, events, and people who were amazing, strange, awful, funny, serious, and everything in between.

Here are 30 things that we all learned this year in The Coachella Valley:

  1. The elderly have a hard time parking at The River in Rancho Mirage.
  2. Do NOT heckle TV reporter Joe Galli.
  3. One guy spent a shit ton of money to get certain Palm Springs politicians elected.
  4. But, not even having the most money will buy some candidates the election.
  5. No one at Walmart wants to look at your unit.
  6. The Westfield Mall is home to something that is pure evil.
  7. Being a daredevil is dangerous.
  8. If you are going to be a huge douchebag at Coachella Fest, everyone will know about it.
  9. The Coachella Valley is home to some really good sandwiches.
  10. Leonardo DiCaprio is just like the rest of us.
  11. A Palm Springs tourism agency made a pretty ridiculous video.
  12. John Boehner likes to get his drink on at The Nest.
  13. And so does Drake?
  14. Some Palm Springs residents hate America.
  15. People like their local TV weather guessers to actually be local.
  16. Katy Perry will buy your cookies.
  17. Indio trees are NOT a good place to escape cops.
  18. Sometimes, you can get Coachella tickets at a pretty good discount.
  19. Tornados are a thing that can happen around here.
  20. Rancho Mirage residents have a hard time grasping that there is a drought.
  21. You might see Amy Schumer next time you go hiking
  22. Roundabouts are just too difficult for La Quinta drivers.
  23. The Desert might be getting a whole new town.
  24. Local TV stations might want to Google their guests or “news stories” before putting them on TV.
  25. If you steal your mom’s car, she will find you at Del Taco.
  26. This guy is the biggest jerk on local TV.
  27. You never know who you might run into at the local Walmart or Target.
  28. Dust devils hate swap meets.
  29. You can rent a house in “Midget Town”.
  30. Christmas is every day of the year for one local radio station
