Coachella man arrested after officers discover stolen mail, credit cards

A Coachella man was arrested after police officers found over 40 pieces of stolen mail and credit cards at his residence.

Members of the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team were conducting a probation check on Arturo Sanchez when the made the discovery, according to KESQ. Police then located Sanchez at his girlfriend’s house. He was arrested following a short pursuit after police say he tried to run out the back door of the house.

Sanchez was booked fo check fraud, check forgery, identity theft, possession of stolen access cards and violation of formal probation. He also had two active felony warrants for check fraud and domestic violence.
