Here is who was arrested in Thursday’s gang sweep in Coachella

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has released the names and photos of the 25 people arrested in Thursday’s gang sweep in the city of Coachella.

Dubbed “Operation Safe Coachella 16.1”, the sweep netted 25 suspects (17 felonies and 8 misdemeanor arrests). There were also four firearms recovered along with over three ounces of suspected methamphetamine, over a pound of suspected marijuana, and over ten-thousand dollars of US Currency.

  • Noe Castro, 33 of Coachella, arrested on suspicion of possession of meth for sale
  • Arturo Aguilar, 38, of Coachella, arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm
  • Salvador Amezquita, 21, of Coachella, arrested suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm
  • Richard Carmona, 53, of Coachella, arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia

  • Alex Ceballos, 18, of Coachella, arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle
  • Steven Benavidez, 33, of Coachella, arrested on suspicion of outstanding DUI warrant
  • Manuel Jacquez, 25, of Indio, arrested on a parolee at large warrant
  • Ray Carmona, 21, of Coachella, arrested on a traffic warrant
