Coachella Festival Tickets | 6 Tips for Buying Your Passes

It is time for another set of Coachella Music and Arts Festival tickets to go on sale. As they often sell out in a very short time, how do you make sure that you are not left without wristbands to the Indio festival?

Though not guaranteed to get you tickets, by following these tips, you will definitely have a better shot at scoring access to the biggest festival in the world.

1) Do your research before trying to buy Coachella passes

Coachella has made changes to how tickets are sold in the past.  Be sure to check out their website before tickets go on sale to make sure you have everything you need and know what page to load in step 2.

2) Block out plenty of time

Be ready at least 15 minutes before the on-sale time   Have everything you need ready including account info, credit card number, a beverage, a snack – seriously, be ready to spend an hour or more in front of your computer. Make no plans before 3pm, just in case.

Five minutes before tickets go on sale, begin to refresh the Coachella website – watch for the screen to change to on sale info.  When it does, pounce!

3) Have a great internet connection

Do not mess around with public wifi or crappy cell service. Get to some great internet for this. You do not want to lose signal while you are in virtual line for tickets.  If you have multiple devices, use them (phone, tablet, computer).

4) Do not f**k around…these are Coachella tickets you’re buying!

Once you are put in “line”, stay on your screen and do not mess around with anything else on your computer or phone. You do not want to risk something locking up or accidentally closing your browser.

5) Leave your options open

Sure, you want Weekend 1 and camping – but, that might not be available when your turn is up. And that is ok. Grab a pair of weekend 2 with shuttle. You can always try to trade those later, sell part of the package, or hell…maybe it will just inspire you to stay off site and use the killer shuttle system.

6) If you get shutout, it is ok

Not everyone gets tickets.  It sucks, but it happens.  If you are a local, you will get another chance in April.  If not, check StubHub as sometimes people win passes or suddenly can’t go or whatever and sell them at or close to face value.  Hell, sometimes you even have a chance to buy them at less than face value.  Also, if you’re a local, you will get yet another chance, so you have that going for you…which is nice.

Good luck buying your Coachella passes!
