City of La Quinta responds to story about removing all the Mexico from Mexican Independence Day event

The City of La Quinta has responded to the report about how one person caused a class from Cesar Chavez Elementary School to remove all references about Mexico from a Mexican Independence Day event at the La Quinta Library in September.

The city posted the following 4-page letter to Edwin Gomez, the Superintendent of the Coachella Valley Unified School District on their website Tuesday afternoon (Cactus Hugs blacked out the address, everything else is as it was posted):
