Car-to-car shooting leaves 1 injured in Palm Springs

A person was hospitalized after a car-to-car shooting in Palm Springs Tuesday night.

Numerous shots were fired, police told KESQ. Authorities did not say exactly where the shooting happened, but Ramon Road was closed between Farrell Drive and Paseo Dorotea for an investigation.

One person was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Update: The Palm Springs Police Department has released the following details:

On Tuesday night at about 10:24 pm, Palm Springs PD officers responded to the area of Paseo Dorotea and Ramon Road regarding the sounds of multiple gun shots. Within minutes, officers were flagged down by a witness who reported they had observed a car-to-car shooting in this same area. Soon after, PSPD was notified of a gunshot victim at a local hospital. There is no suspect information at this time and the victim is in stable condition. The investigation is on-going and we encourage anyone with information to contact PSPD at 760-327-1441 or report the incident anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
