California woman arrested for firing gun at noisy kids

An 84-year-old California woman was arrested after she fired a shot at her neighbors children.

Betty Frances Sanders and her husband went to the fence that divides their Shasta County property from their neighbors to complain because they felt that their neighbor’s three children, all between 8 and 10, were “being noisy.” The children were riding motorcycles on their property, reports the Record Searchlight.

There was an argument and Sanders shot one round from her gun toward the kids, according to the LA Times. One neighbor told police they “could hear the bullets going over the children’s heads.”

No one was injured.

Sanders was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm and child endangerment.
