Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump may debate before the California Primary – ensuring that the 2016 Presidential Election is the weirdest ever.
The whole thing started on Wednesday night when Trump stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live and said he was willing to debate Sanders if it was for charity. He also, as is always the case with Trump, talked about how great he is for ratings.
“If I debated him we would have such high ratings,” Trump said. “Take that money and give it to some worthy charity.”
Sanders then tweeted out he was in:

And Team Bernie was not joking.
Is this serious? “Of course we’re interested. It was Bernie’s suggestion,” Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs told USA TODAY.
The debate would be interesting as hell – but, it looks like it is not happening. Turns out Trump was just pulling your leg:
