Assault rifles discovered during Indio tire shop raid

Police have announced that an undisclosed number of assault rifles were found during a raid on Wednesday.

The Riverside Autotheft Interdiction Detail (RAID) task force along with The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) served a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at Competition Tire and Wheel on Indio Boulevard, reports KESQ.

RAID spent 5 hours at the store.

UPDATE: The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confiscated  eight assault rifles, ammunition, a handgun, two silencers, and seven high capacity magazines – according to a press release. 38-year-old, La Quinta resident, Pablo Torres, was arrested for possession of an assault rifle and possession of high capacity magazine
