A woman was severely injured after three dogs attacked her while she was hanging laundry in Anza on Saturday.

Three pit bulls or pit bull mixes hurt the woman about 9:30 am at a residence on Mitchell Road, according to KTLA. She was airlifted to a hospital.

The owner of three dogs was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

“This is another preventable attack on an innocent person and one we find very upsetting,” animal services Director Robert Miller said in a statement (via Valley News). “Initial reports indicate the attack was so severe that she remains hospitalized. We are very concerned for this woman. Our hearts go out to her and her family.”

According to the Desert Sun, due to the severity of the attack, Riverside County Animal Services will seek a destruction order.
