There is an anti-Trump protest planned for Saturday evening in Palm Springs.
A Facebook page for the protest has it beginning at 5:30 pm at Francis Stevens Park. “Let’s get together and protest this racist garbage,” the page declares.
The protest is being organized by Eleanor Gonzalez and Kymberli Foster.
“I saw the day after the election all these major cities are protesting and I thought the desert would be the perfect place,” Foster told the Desert Sun.
Foster told the newspaper that she wants other people who are opposed to the newly elected president that there are others like them in the Coachella Valley.
“I just want people to know they’re not alone,” she said. “This might be scary, but we can fix it.”
As of this posting, 146 people had marked they would be attending – with another 287 saying they are interested.
