Nine hikers were rescued from Mount San Jacinto on Saturday.

Officials were contacted about about 11:45 am by the hikers, according to the Press Enterprise. The hikers told authorities they had reached the peak but were not able to descend the mountain because of terrain and weather conditions.

Two aviation units were used to hoist the hikers off the mountain.

The hikers were identified by the Desert Sun as a 37-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident; a 36-year-old San Diego man; two Phoenix men ages 29 and 38; four Scottsdale men ages 38, 35, 38 and 39; and a 37-year-old man from Winnetka, California.

None of the hikers were injured.
