79-year-old Palm Springs man dead after his overturning motorcycle near Anza

A Palm Springs man is dead after crashing his motorcycle bear Anza on Wednesday.

Albert Farrell, 79, lost control of his bike on Highway 371 less than a mile west of Highway 79 about 3 pm, according to the Desert Sun. Farrell tumbled down a hillside after his 2012 Harley Davidson Electra overturned, ejecting him onto the pavement.

A motorist saw the motorcycle on the shoulder and called police.  Emergency crews reached the scene within 20 minutes.

Paramedics pronounced Farrell dead at the scene.
