The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of 50 people during a patrol saturation conducted in the City of Coachella and unincorporated area of East Coachella Valley last week.
The operation, which took place on Friday, was in response to numerous requests by community members, and at the direction of Sheriff Bianco, according to a media release. The proactive enforcement focused on “subjects suspected of being in possession of or under the influence of controlled substances”.
In addition to the arrests, officials seized methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, various weapons, and recovered several stolen vehicles.
