Things to do Presidents Day Weekend in Palm Springs

President’s Day Weekend is a great time to be in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley – with plenty of things to do and, normally, some amazing weather.  Here are our picks for what to do and see in the desert during the three-day holiday weekend, February 15 – 18. 

Date Festival – Begins Friday

(Instagram)It’s back again with concerts, deep fried everything, and plenty of rides to make you puke!!  This year has performances by Randy Houser, Ramon Ayala, Salt-n-Pepa, and Kool and the Gang.  There’s also bull riding, monster trucks, ostrich races, and, plenty of food including those tasty cinnamon rolls and donuts bigger than your head.

Greek Fest – Saturday & Sunday

This fest; which offers plenty of greek food, dancing, and drinks; is worth it for the lamb chops and feta fries alone.  Seriously though just PUT THEM IN MY MOUTH ALREADY!!!!  It runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 8 pm and will cost you just three bucks to get in.

It’s not just a weekend event, it’s ten full days parties, events, and, course, those double decker buses full of people looking at homes and things all around Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.

Snoop Dogg – Saturday

The rapper returns to the Special Events Center for a Saturday night concert at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio.  Tickets for the concert run $59 to $109.

It’s Magic! – Sunday

The ensemble magic show is now in its 63rd year.  Producers Milt Larsen and Terry Hill have gathered performers from America’s Got Talent, headliners from Las Vegas and international magic award winners into one family friendly production.  The Sunday afternoon performance at the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert has tickets starting at just $18.
