4 injured in collision involving CHP vehicle in Cathedral City

Four people were injured after a California Highway Patrol car collided with a pickup truck in Cathedral City early Sunday morning.

The crash happened about 12:50 am, according to the Desert Sun. Two CHP officers and two men in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.

The two men in the truck were Rivera Burgos Jose Juan and Luis Fernando Flores Manzo both of Coachella, reports KESQ.  The officers involved were not identified.

Ramon Road was shut down for about five hours for an investigation but has since reopened.
