A 22-year-old Twentynine Palms man was arrested on Thursday after police say they discovered a motorcycle reported stolen in 2015 in his possession while they were investigating a separate report of stolen security cameras.

A resident on Araby Avenue called police about 1:30 pm to report that Joseph McGee had removed the cameras, which were attached to the residence, according to Z107.7. McGee lives in a home in the back of the property.

While investigating, deputies saw a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle that was being dis-assembled. When asked about it, McGee said he had purchased the motorcycle for $200, but didn’t have any documentation for it. A records check showed the motorcycle was reported in Redlands four years ago.

McGee was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property.
