$210 million ‘I-10 Tune Up’ to fix up the freeway in the pass, slow your drive for a couple of years

Caltrans announced the “I-10 Tune Up” this week. The project, which will take place on The 10 Freeway between 60 Freeway and Highway 111, will see crews working to improve the large section of freeway while also slowing down your drive in and out of town.

Work will be completed in three stages and could take as long as two to three years. Crews will be working on medians, repaving the number three and four lanes, and slab replacement in lanes one and two.

Caltrans will aim to do most work at night and no construction will take place during busy traffic periods like holidays and events like Coachella and Stagecoach.
