2 arrested after 550 marijuana plants found inside Palm Springs home

Two people from Long Beach were arrested on Friday after authorities served a search warrant at a Palm Springs home and discovered 550 marijuana plants.

The Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force teamed with the Palm Springs Police Department and the Palm Springs Narcotics Task Force to search the home on Summit Drive, according to a news release. Officers discovered the marijuana along with about $8,000 dollars in cash.

It was also determined that the home was illegally bypassing the regular power system, which resulted in approximately $45,000 worth of electricity having been stolen.

35-year-old Lin Hoa and 29-year-old Li Juan Lei were arrested at the residence for illegal marijuana cultivation and theft of utilities.
