A 10-year-old boy died in Palm Desert on Thursday after being struck by a truck. Another man was seriously injured.

Shortly after noon, the two were hit by a silver Ford truck on Monterey Avenue at Hahn Road, reports The Desert Sun.

The two victims were taken to a nearby hospital – where the 10-year-old, Bobby Adams, died. A 29-year-old man was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was not arrested, according to KESQ, and drugs or alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
