You’re probably not getting eclipse glasses

You have probably already heard, mostly because you can’t escape the non-stop articles about it in your newsfeed, the solar eclipse is coming up on Monday. As the big day sneaks up on us, you might think it would be a good time to grab some of those weird, tacky, yet essential solar eclipse glasses you keep hearing about. Welp, you are going to have a super hard time finding them.

I have had quite a few people message me asking where to find them and, after checking around at Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Walgreens, and 7-Eleven (yes, they had them), I have discovered that demand far outweighed supply and everyone was out of them.

But what about Amazon you say, well, here’s the thing: there are some listed, but they are either priced insanely high or, for some items, won’t be in stock until August 20 – which is not helpful.

Your best bet at this point is to go to one of the special events happening in town where they will have these things – including events at the Palm Springs Public Library, The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, The Rancho Mirage Library, and Joshua Tree National Park.

If you happen to know anywhere that still has them, let everyone know in the comments.
