Two arrested in Palm Springs with nearly $400k of meth, over 50 guns

Two men were arrested in Palm Springs on Thursday after police say they were found to be in possesion of almost $400,000 worth of methamphetamine and over 50 guns.

Police served a search warrant in the 38400 South Palm Canyon Drive and in the 5000 block of East Waverly Drive, where they confiscated 54 firearms, about 21 pounds of meth, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and about $7,000 in cash along with items related to the sales of drugs, reports KMIR.

Police say the drugs had a street value of over $390,000.

Phillip Prieto, 56, and Juan Gonzalez, 43, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sales and possession of a controlled substance while armed.
