The Palm Springs Police Department announced a road closure on Saturday and, surprisingly, it wasn’t wind and sand related.
Avenida Caballeros was closed between Ramon Road and Saturmino, the department announced about 5:12 pm:

No word yet on how long the road will be closed or just how big the sinkhole is.
And while that is all sorted out, it’s best that you plan on taking an alternate route for a while.
