The tearing down of The old (and kinda dumpy) Spa Hotel was taken very hard by some Palm Springs residents these past few weeks, so when a ridiculous drawing of “The New Spa Casino” hit the internet, you may have seen some of these same people completely losing their shit by posting and complaining on Facebook.
Here is the thing, the towers of the hotel appear to be some 30 stories tall and there would appear to be at least 5,000 or more rooms in the “design”. To put that in perspective, the gargantuan Venetian hotel in Las Vegas has just over 4,000 rooms. Also, there is only one entrance and a pool that would be in the shade over half of the day.
The website listed does not exist, in fact the domain is not registered to any one. Perhaps you will buy it and link to Cactus Hugs – because that would fun fun!
So yeah, not happening.
