Conrad Hilton, the 21-year-old younger brother of Paris Hilton, was charged with felonies in connection to a 2014 car chase near Cathedral City. He, not surprisingly, had enough money to post bail.

Hilton has been charged with felony evading police and reckless driving charges from the August, 2014 incident that occurred on I-10. The details via The Desert Sun:

Authorities said Hilton was driving a 2013 BMW that was seen weaving in and out of traffic. He was also driving the vehicle onto the median, officials said. An officer intially tried to stop the car near Cherry Valley, officials said, adding that Hilton lost the officer and continued toward the Coachella Valley, where he is accused of hitting a car and a tractor trailer near the Date Palm Drive exit in Cathedral City.

No one was hurt except Hilton, who had to be freed from the crumpled car by emergency crews. He suffered a fractured hand.

Hilton was charged on April 30 and Saturday, he turned himself in. He then posted $100,000 bail after spending less than a day in the clink.

The court date is scheduled for July 14. If found guilty on all charges, Hilton could be sentenced to up to 3 years in jail.

Earlier this year, Hilton was charged with interfering with the crew of a British Airways flight from London to Los Angeles in July of 2014. He had to be restrained and handcuffed by flight attendants after calling fellow passengers “peasants” and accusing the flight the crew of “taking the peasants’ side.” During the meltdown he also allegedly yelled, “If you wanna square up to me bro, then bring it and I will f***ing fight you,” and, “I will f***ing own anyone on this flight; they are f***ing peasants.”

Hilton pleaded guilty to misdemeanor “simple assault,” telling the Los Angeles judge that he checked into a rehabilitation facility afterward and was medicated for the “psychotic breakdown.” He has not yet been formally sentenced in the case.
