Palm Springs Has App For Drought Snitchin’

California’s awful drought continues  – and with it has sprung new dumb trends like drought shaming, regular drought shaming TV segments, drought shaming reporters, and now a drought shaming app. KMIR reports:

Palm Springs residents can serve as “Water Watchdogs” by reporting water waste with a phone app. Tipsters can download the free PalmSprings@YourService application and click “Water Watchdog” under “Select Issue.”

Now people can snitch report anyone they want for water wasting, regardless of if that person is actually wasting water.  Want to report Bob Hope’s house?  No problem:

How about Sonny Bono’s statue? You can do that too:

Water shaming app: Sonny

And if you really want to get crazy, you can report City Hall to City Hall!

This in no way seems like a terrible idea for a town full of non-stop complaining old people who have nothing but time on their hands.
