Police searched the area and a suspect was detained and identified by the victim as the man who attacked her.

Jonathan Nava was arrested for assault with intent to commit mayhem, rape, sodomy, oral copulation and on suspicion of false imprisonment.

Authorities determined Nava also matched the the description of a man wanted in connection with an incident earlier in the day when a man tried to force his way into an office building in order to sexually assault a woman on Indian Canyon.
