Meet barber Ramadan Odwan. For $5.20, Odwan will cut your hair and blowtorch dry it at his salon in Gaza- and here I was excited just to get a free beer during my haircut.
Odwan told Reuters that he applies some sort of protective liquid coating to the customer’s hair before unleashing the flames, but he did not say what it was.
“I control how long I apply fire, I keep it on and off for 10 seconds or 15 seconds. It is completely safe and I have not encountered any accident since I started it two months ago,” Odwan said.
