A man died after being hit by a car in Indio Monday night.
The crash happened about 11 pm in the area of Dillon Road and Avenue 48, according to KESQ.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor and the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating.
As the Desert Sun notes, this is the third pedestrian fatality this year. In 2016, 29 people died as the result of being hit by a vehicle in the Coachella Valley.
