Hopefully You Enjoy Thanksgiving Day Since a “Huge” Storm is on the Way After

The Thanksgiving Day forecast for The Coachella Valley is pretty nice (85 degrees and sunny in Palm Desert). Hopefully you enjoy it, as you may have to spend the rest of your weekend building an ark – at least according to KMIR:

Get ready to get ready: The Desert will soon be on StormWatch as the largest winter storm we’ve seen since March is headed towards Southern California.

Just back in September, parts of The Desert saw a “700 year storm” do very bad things to The Coachella Valley – and this one is going to be bigger???  Well, not quite but we should still “get ready to get ready” (whatever that means)…

KMIR News Forecaster Soumada Smith says it’s still a little iffy exactly when it will arrive, but it could be as early as Sunday. She says the Valley could see rainfall of more than 1 inch in some places.

First off, it is cool that KMIR has a local weather person again, but “iffy exactly when it will arrive” probably should not be said by anyone whose one job it is to predict these things.  Second, we all know what only one inch of rain can do to The Coachella Valley…

The Weather Channel’s current 10 day forecast calls for rain to start in Palm Springs on Monday afternoon and clearing out Tuesday night.

Get ready to get ready.
